When BJP is trying to poster West Bengal as an investment non-friendly state, state education minister Partha Chatterjee said in the assembly on Monday that the unemployment scenario in Bengal is better than the national average.
Quoting from the ‘Economic Survey’, he said: “When the national average is 6.1, the average for the state is only 4.6%. Tamil Nadu and Telangana have a whopping average of 7.6%, followed by Odhisa (7.1%%,), UP (6.4%) and Gujarat (4.8%) which is much higher than West Bengal.”
