The latest edition of Parampara Boulevard under the aegis of Rotary Club of Chowrenghee summoned the fashionistas of the city at The Oberoi Grand for a fulfilling retail therapy.
Sangeeta Todi of Parampara says, “We have been selective of our participants this time and one can pick up anything from as low as 500 to 50000. It’s a one-stop-shop for the impending festive season. There is also a charity angle so every participant and visitor is contributing to the larger cause.”
The two-day lifestyle exhibition that is on till July 18, has a wide range of designers from across India. So while Begum from Chandigarh displays its classic collection in off-white with mukaish work, O Layla from Mumbai’s contemporary ensemble in handloom, in black and grey, is for everyday styling. City designers too are here with their exclusive collection. Bharat Adiani’s latest Heer collection with self-on-self embroidery is dreamy. You will also love Soumodeep Dutta’s modern silhouettes in cotton, khadi and other natural fabrics. This year three designers from Dubai are also part of Parampara and their collection is worth checking out.
In jewellery, you must check out the silver and jadau jewellery from Vamika who is participating for the first time. If you are looking for home decor items, then you won’t be disappointed either. Check out the copper installations of Tushar Kanti Das Roy and if you are interested in ceramics then Aditi Saraogi will surprise you with her creative genius. There are also rakhi stalls, silver crockery and the finest home decor items.
