Five teachers started taking classes in Hare School on Thursday, a day after protests by students and their parents prompted the school education department to immediately sanction five positions for the school.
A senior teacher said: “We are in the process of increasing the number of classes in the routines and will soon inform the parents about all the developments. The pressure that teachers faced while managing extra classes is now relieved.”
“We are pleased with the new developments. We heard from our children that all classes took place today. Seeing them get back focus makes us happy too,” said a guardian. Agreeing with the statement another parent added: “We just hope this becomes an everyday routine now. We place our trust in the institution and have full faith in them.”
A teacher said that with adequate teaching staff now the pre-primary students can be involved in the upcoming sit-and-draw competition since they can manage more students.
