India International Science Festival:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address the 5th India International Science Festival in Kolkata tomorrow. As per the official announcement, PM Modi will be addressing the 5th India International Science Festival that is being organized in Kolkata through video-conferencing on 5th November 2019. PM Modi will deliver the inaugural address for the Science Festival at 4 PM in the evening, officially launching the 5th edition of the 5th India International Science Festival.
Union Science & Technology Minister to Attend Festival
As per the details shared by the organizers, the 5th India International Science Festival will be attended by the Union Minister for Science & Technology Dr Harsh Vardhan. He will be joined by the Science and Technology Ministers from various states as well as scientists and academicians who will participate in the festival.
India International Science Festival – Theme
India International Science Festival is a 4-day event which will commence with the inaugural address of PM Modi on 5th November 2019. The Science Festival is being held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata. The key theme of India International Science Festival is to ‘Instil Scientific Temper Among Masses’. In addition to this, the festival will also showcase the achievements and India’s contribution to the field of science and technology. Another key aspect which will be on agenda during the festival would be to evolve an inclusive strategy for advancement of science and technology in the coming days.
Young Scientists’ Conference
As part of the Science Festival, the organizers have also decided to hold a Young Scientists’ Conference, which will see around 1500 young scientists from across the country, come together on a single platform. During the conference, young scientists and researchers will interact with experts from respective fields to discuss contemporary problems facing science and technology domain. They will also get an opportunity to present their research papers during the conference.
