West Bengal’s RKM college bags highest NAAC grade

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Education and Research Institute (deemed to be university) was awarded the highest grade of A++ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia, has bagged the best school award from the school education department of West Bengal government.

RKM has also won Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award from ministry of external affairs, Govt of India for its service in South Africa.

The headquarters and a number of branch centres of the mission and the Math commemorated the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago, USA.

RKM has also started new branch centres at Bilaspur in Chhattishgarh, at Cuttack in Odisha and at Yadadri Bhuvanagiri in Telangana.

The Seva Prathishthan centre has also built cardiology and endocrinology departments.

In the medical field, the Dehradun centre has started super-speciality eye care centre, while Itanagar centre extended two operation theatres. While the Kankhal centre has started an eightbed high dependency unit, the Lukhnow unit has come up with a fully-equipped IUI (intrauterine insemination) laboratory.

The Kankurgachi centre has constructed a dispensary amd Shyampukur Bati purchased a four-storey building for extending its activities.
