The admission tests for Presidency University’s undergraduate courses will be held on April 11 and 12. The examinations, conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board, have been brought forward by two months than last year.
“The admission tests were held in May in 2018 and in June in 2019. We want to conduct the tests in April in 2020 as WBJEE is slated for February and the gap will give us the breathing time to hold the Presidency exams,” said JEE Board chairman Malayendu Saha. “Also, if students get to know about their ranks in the admission tests early, they may want to stay back in Bengal and not move out of the state, seeking admission elsewhere.”
