The winter is here and with that the sale of winter garments has also gone up. After almost four years of bad business, the vendors at the yearly Tibetan Market at Wellington Square got a reason to be happy. The vendors told us that since Tuesday, they are noticing a good increase in sell in compare to November and the first two weeks of December. Doma Bhutia, one of the vendors told us that on an average she is selling woolen of Rs 2000 to Rs 2500. It may not be great, but it is good enough,” she added.
Talking about the most selling products, the vendors said that it is the sweatshirts and track pants. “There are also customers coming to us looking for shawls and sweaters,” she added. Without winter and the ongoing economic slowdown, the sale of winter garment has gone down over about 50% in compare to last year.
