Antar-Ranga is to celebrate their yearly festival, Khwaab-Safar. It is a collaborative effort to celebrate art, theatre and camaraderie. Keeping aside the excesses that jazz up mainstream art festivals, Khwaab-Safar talks about lesser-known art and artists. It extends its reach to ideas that resemble one common ground, theatre, in their collective nature. This year the festival is being organized at two of the most historical locations of Kolkata — Esplanade and College Street.
“Though we practice our respective arts all year round, it feels assuring and encouraging to unite once in a while, face the crowd and talk of hope, together. The festival will feature four plays and one musical event. When we started festival last year, a number of fellow-artists stood by us, and performed their arts. Last year we were joined by groups like HoiChoi, Naihati Theatre Lab, Musical Sandwich and Kalkutta Komedians,” said one of the organisers.
