Over a month has passed since the nationwide lockdown has crippled the country. At a time, when going out of the house without an emergency is a luxury, it is not possible to hold an art exhibition or is it? A city-based art gallery has taken their upcoming exhibition entirely on the digital platform so that people can enjoy it from their homes. Emami Art, hosts an exhibition titled Black While and More — an online exhibition showcasing some of the finest monochromatic artworks of eminent artists like Jogen Chowdhury, Rabin Mondal, S. G. Vasudev, Dashrath Patel, and Manu Parekh rom April 20 onwards.
Talking about the initiative, a gallery spokesperson said that the artworks will be showcased on their official website. “While on one hand it is a new approach, it is also the need of the hour. We think this is the best way to hold an exhibition during the lockdown phase,” she added.
