It was a memorable Sunday for members of a south Kolkata club. The vintage car show held on the club premises that featured classic and rare beauties like a 1967 Rolls Royce, a 1931 Austin 7, a 1937 Phantom 3 and several vintage motorcycles was a real treat for them. The members were seen posing for pretty pictures and selfies while socializing and also enjoyed a sumptuous lunch from the kitchens of the club.
Debu Dutta, president of the club, who was present at the do with his family members, said, “It’s great to catch up with your friends at the club after so long. This is a signature event of the club and no matter what we do our best to make this a big success. This is the third year we’ve hosted this event. And despite the huge political rally on Sunday, the owners of more than 70 vintage cars and motorcycles came to the club to take part in the show. The turnout was good this year even though we had to delay it by a month because of the current situation. The members followed all safety protocols and maintained social distance during the event.”
