Air India is set to introduce daily flights connecting Calcutta with Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Raipur. The flights will be inaugurated by Jayanta Sinha, the minister of state for civil aviation, in Ranchi on Friday. One flight, operated by Alliance Air, the whollyowned subsidiary of Air India, will take off from Calcutta at 5.50am and land in Ranchi at 7.25am. It will reach Bhubaneswar at 8.50am and return to Calcutta at 11.10am, an airline official said. The other flight will take off from Calcutta at noon and reach Bhubaneswar at 1.30pm. It will then fly to Ranchi (3.45pm) and Raipur (5.20pm). It will fly back to Ranchi at 5.50pm and arrive in Calcutta at 9am. Both flights will be operated by a 70-seater ATR aircraft, an airline official said..
