The global crisis in terms of health, economy, resources and everything else imaginable, which has reared its ugly head due to the spread of corona virus, is unprecedented. Like most sectors, entrepreneurs also didn’t anticipate this while planning their ventures. The lockdown coupled with an upcoming economic depression is not helping the unnerving situation either. To enhance entrepreneurs’ preparedness, especially women entrepreneurs, the US Consulate Kolkata brings to you their business innovation expert, Glenn Robinson, Director, Texas Global, University of Texas (Austin), to share insights on how the small, big and giant companies have survived through earlier economic depressions. The IVLP Alumni Sonali Bhope from India and Achia Nila from Bangladesh will share challenges and opportunities for South Asian women entrepreneurs in their respective ecosystems.
This will take place at a webinar on April 9 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (IST). Monica Shie, Director of the American Center Kolkata, said, “The goal of the webinar is to give women entrepreneurs a platform to discuss challenges during this global crisis and strategies to move forward with their business plans. We recognise that women-led businesses are drivers of economic growth, and we want to offer support during these difficult times.”
During the webinar, the experts will discuss the challenges of supply chain, human resource, cash flows, healthcare and more and how women entrepreneurs can prepare by planning today and winning it over.
