While the entire nation has come together to fight the Covid-19 outbreak, the leading brands are no exception. With thousands being affected and millions without basic amenities, help is the need of the hour. In this situation, a number of big companies took some wonderful initiatives.

Two Kolkata-based brands have extended their helping hands during this time of crisis. One of the most well-known electronic stores in the city has provided 14000 units of meal to the homeless people. “There are thousands who are daily wage earners, and tgere are also people without shelters, this initiative is to help them and stand by them, as the entire nation is under threat,” said the spokesperson from the company.

A city-based Tibetan food chain, on the other hand started an initiative where they are helping the elderly population by delivering them their basic requirements at their doorsteps. “A good number of elderly people reside in Kolkata alone, with just domestic helps to help them. During this lockdown period, without the help of their domestic helps, they are more vulnerable to this virus attack and are hence most helpless. We have extended a helping hand to them,” said a spokesperson.
