The workers of a Mukundopur-based orphanage had to leave on a hurry last month when the nation-wide lockdown was announced. While many organisations came forward to take responsibility of the children, seven of them were left. Recently, a ration dealer organisation has come forward to take responsibility of seven girls. Bishambhar Basu, the president of the organisation, single handedly took the initiative and said, “This is heartbreaking to see their condition. So, until the lockdown is lifted, I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe,” he added.
