Two city-based art galleries are hosting a series of online exhibitions, Extend A Hand, to support young artists of Kolkata. A percentage from the earnings will be donated to communities struggling due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
One of the organisers said that the world is going through an unprecedented and challenging time and will we be able to fight the pandemic only if we work in harmony. In order to help the young and upcoming artists, this exhibition will showcase 120 artworks by 36 artists. Works of Anjan Modak, Arpana Caur, Arpita Akhanda, Arpita Basu, Arunima Chowdhury, Ashok Bhowmik and Bholanath Rudra, among others, are being showcased.
