#Unlock1: Masks are must for customers, say city restaurants

Restaurants in the city have started operating from Monday with all the safety and hygiene standards in place. While some restaurants allowed customers inside only after they cleaned their hands with sanitisers, others were strict about the fact that all the customers had their masks on. A few food joints on Park Street were even seen distributing masks among the customers. “It may not be possible for everyone to carry mask, but we are here to help them,” said one of the restaurant managers.

Another popular ice cream joint on Park Street placed a signboard on the front gate of the shop that read: ‘No mask, no ice cream’. And we will maintain that for now,” said the spokesperson of the joint.
