Television actress Swastika Dutta, who plays the lead in the serial Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay, is back on the set after over three months. While adjusting to the new normal on the set is a challenging task, Swastika is slowly getting used to the situation. She said, “The pandemic is not over yet. So initially, I was a bit jittery before stepping out of the house. But I was also desperately waiting for work to begin. It’s very difficult for TV actors like us to be sitting at home for so long. I was missing my co-stars, the set and the crew members so badly.”
Sharing with us how her parents reacted when she decided to get back to work from June 10, Swastika said, “Given the situation outside now, I was definitely a bit scared. My parents were worried about the safety and hygiene on the set. Even my friends asked if it was really necessary for me to go out in this situation. But I really wanted to be on the sets and entertain my audience. I stocked up on essentials, like hand sanitisers, disinfectant spray, mask and gloves. During the initial few days, it was definitely difficult to cope but now we are all doing fine. My father is a diabetic patient, so I need to be more cautious that I don’t get affected by the virus. So, I maintain social distance with my parents while at home.”
