Innerwear maker Lux Industries has witnessed a 118% jump in net profit to Rs 90.6 crore in the fourth quarter of 2020-21. The revenue for the quarter was up by 49% to Rs 601 crore.
Commenting on the industry trends, Lux Industries chairman Ashok Kumar Todi said, “We are pleased to report a resilient performance for the quarter gone by. The performance has been driven by progressive improvement in demand and consumption across the innerwear industry.”
He pointed out that despite the local lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting challenges during the quarter, it witnessed healthy traction for economy and mid-premium categories and saw a gradual pickup in our premium and export segment.
