Priyanka Upendra is in Kolkata for the second schedule of her upcoming Bengali film Master Anshuman and she couldn’t be happier. “It’s home ground so obviously nostalgia comes calling. Having spent so many years here, it feels good to shoot in your hometown. It’s been raining non stop, so we are shooting indoors,” says Priyanka.
So on days when she gets free hours, the actor has been revisiting the favourite parts of the city. “Of course, Victoria memorial is a classic; no trip home is complete without it. Then I went to Princep Ghat, which is famous for its Greek inlays. And how can I not go to Hooghly bridge. It brings back so many memories. It still retains an old-world charm and I can’t help but go there every time,” she tells us. The actor was accompanied by her brother Vinu and the two went on a puchka-eating spree. “We also had lots of cha says Priyanka. The actor also met her long-time friend and Bengali star Jeet and the two spent many hours talking. “I also went street shopping after so many years and picked up trinkets and Afghan jewellery,” avers the actor adding,” the pujo vibe is already in the air and everything’s gaining a festive feel.”
